Mrs. Swigart was born Jessie M. Rash on Oct. 8, 1910, in Junction City. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Methodist Church, Salina, and a lifetime member of Order of the Eastern Star Harmony Chapter No. 2.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Scott W., in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Woodhouse and husband Donald W. of Salina; a sister, Edith Mullally of Junction City; a granddaughter, Barbara D. Stewart and husband Donald W. of Elmo; and a great-grandson, Matthew Scott Stewart of Elmo.

There will be no services and no visitation. The body was cremated.
