Mr. Valladares was born Feb. 21, 1927, in San Salvador, El Salvador. He worked for 30 years as an agricultural administrator for Alejandro Salazar and Sons Sacazil Plantation, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Maria J., of the home; three sons, Pedro A. and Tomas Jr., both of Norwalk, Calif., and Rafael A. of Lancaster, Calif.; six daughters, Lillian C. Valladares, Julia M. Svendblad, Ana C. Bengtson and Dina P. Giron, all of Salina, Vilma Marroquin of El Salvador and Morena Penate of Houston; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Quayle United Methodist Church, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.

Memorials may be made to Saline County Dialysis.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m.
