Mrs. Versluys was born Mary Kathryn Williams on Aug. 19, 1926, in Amiret, Minn., the daughter of Harold I. and Mabel C. (Yost) Williams.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Parish and St. Mary’s Guild.

She married Theodore Eugene Versluys on Feb. 6, 1945, at St. Eloi Catholic Church, Green Valley, Minn.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark, in 1968; a grandson, Ben Breault, in 2004; and a son-in-law, Gary Gullickson, in 2005.

Survivors include her husband, Ted, of Salina; four daughters, Sandy L. Gullickson, Beth Breault and husband Tim, Mary Snyder and husband Steve and Karen Roesner and husband David, all of Salina; four sons, Keith and wife Kathy of Fond Du Lac, Wis., Jim and wife Gaylene of Salina, John and wife Jill of Olathe, and Ted and wife Christine of Topeka; her stepmother, Irene Vercruysse of Lynd, Minn.; two sisters, Marge Cadwell and husband Merlyn of Clara City, Minn., and Diane Karlstad and husband David of Lynd, Minn.; three brothers, Keith Williams and wife Arlys of Worth, Ill., Arnie Williams of Lynd, Minn., and Allen Williams of Rixeyville, Va.; 23 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina, with the Rev. Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
