Amy Joyce Vidricksen, 60, Salina, died Thursday, July 27, 2006. Mrs. Vidricksen was born Amy Joyce Rhodd on Sept. 8, 1945, in Winfield. She was a homemaker. She was an avid collector of pink depression glass and other antiques and a devoted volunteer of Hospice of Salina and Salina Regional Health Center. She was a member of Citizen Potawatomie Indian Nation and very proud of her heritage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hatton Rhodd and the former Amy Ruth Waymire; and two brothers, Max Rhodd and Monte Lee Burley. Survivors include her husband, Fred, of Salina; two sons, Gene Nixon of Salina and Jeff Nixon and wife Barb of Olathe; a daughter, Ruth Ann Morse and fiance Jeff Gardner of Salina; a stepdaughter, Debbie Reinhardt and husband Bob of Newton; a stepson, Steve Vidricksen and fiancee Lana of Arkansas City; a brother, Dewey Rhodd and wife Beverly of Wellington; and seven grandchildren, Chelsea Morse, Jordan and Michaela Nixon, Jason, Sarah and Jacob Reinhardt, and Todd Vidricksen. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. |
