Dennis James Vinson, 45, Salina, died Sunday, April 23, 2006. Mr. Vinson was born Dec. 24, 1960, in Fort Ord, Calif. He graduated from Salina South High School in 1978. He was a graduate of Cowley County Community College and was a maintenance employee for Tony’s Pizza Service. He was a Boy Scout leader and former Salvation Army football coach. He was a youth traveling baseball coach and planned to coach the “Twisters” baseball team this summer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his father and mother, Ernest and Margaret Vinson, of Salina; three sons, Landon, Tanner and Walker of Salina; two brothers, Frank and wife Beth and Mike and wife Jill, all of Salina; a sister, Melissa Clark and husband Dave of Salina; and two nieces and two nephews. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Father Frank Coady officiating. Inurnment will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Parish. Visitation and viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Cremation will follow the visitation. |
