Mr. Walston was born George Kenneth Walston on July 8, 1920, in Salina. He was a retired manager of the Best Western Motel, Oakley.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, in 1980.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara L., of the home; two sons, Steve of Salina and John of Edmonds, Wash.; a daughter, Glenda Sue Sanders of Calle Esperanza LaQuinta, Calif.; a stepson, Don Lovato of Yukon, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Lorraine Denham of Watonga, Okla.; a brother, Vilo of Bennington; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crossroads Church, 1125 W. South, Salina. Cremation will follow the service, and private inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the church, Arthritis Foundation or the Shrines Burn Centers, in care of the family.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
