Mrs. Ward was born on November 30, 1932 in Llanfairfechan, Wales, U.K. She married Frank D. Ward on September 8, 1950 in London, England, U.K. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2001, she was also preceded in death by her parents Edwyn and Vera Hughes, and her brother Edwyn Hughes and her sister, Nadine Moore all of the U.K.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Ward and wife Sheila of Lindsborg, and Steven Ward and wife Brenda of Salina; five daughters, Linda Magathan and husband Dan, Beverly Fletcher, Pamela Nemechek, Kathryn Prather and husband Jim and Julie Boyce and husband Scott, all of Salina; 17 grandchildren, Richard and Shawn Ward, Ronnie, Chris and Jonathan Merrill, Eric and Andrew Ward, Brent Magathan, Christopher and Matthew Schreiner, Marc Nemechek, Juan and Mario Zepeda, Joshua Coup, Tyler Boyce, Amanda Andreda and Nicky Prather; 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces, Sue James and daughter Samantha and Jackie Neil and children Simone and Aiden all of the U.K.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials are suggested to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center or Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. The casket will be closed.
