Mrs. Werries was born Blanche Elizabeth Hughes on Nov. 4, 1928, in rural Culver. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristie Greene; three brothers, Arthur, Elmer and Harold Hughes; two sisters, Thelma Johnson and Bessie Brotton; and a granddaughter, Brandy Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Dale, of Salina; three daughters, Marcia Craft and husband Kent of Wichita, Connie Martin and husband Mark of Abilene and Janelle Coons and husband Jim of Leawood; a son-in-law, Mark Greene of Salina; a brother, Ralph Hughes of Bonney Lake, Wash.; a sister, Elsie Brunholtz of Wellington; four grandchildren, Michael Craft of Carlsbad, Calif., Ryan Craft of Wichita, Kate Greene of Salina and Jordie Coons of Leawood; and two great-grandchildren, Kylie Craft of Wichita and Destinee Aldridge of Salina.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society of American, the American Cancer Society or the church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
