Howard Williams

Howard Williams, 69, Salina, died Monday, April 24, 2006.

Mr. Williams was born May 26, 1936, in Chicago. He was retired from the U.S. Army after serving more than 22 years. He served in the Vietnam War, receiving a National Defense Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, a Good Conduct Medal and a Bronze Star Medal. He also was active in the Civil Air Patrol and worked as a cameraman at Salina Community Access.

Survivors include a son, John C. Wyatt of Palm Springs, Calif.; two brothers, Joseph W. Williams Sr. of Walworth, Wis., and John Roth of Rosamond, Calif.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, with military honors provided by Fort Riley.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
