Mrs. Wineland was born Evelyn I. Clark on Oct. 18, 1926, in Natoma. She was a clerk for the Saline County Treasurer’s Office for more than 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell “Poley,” in 1995; a brother, Marvin Clark, in 1964; and a sister, Margaret Caruthers, in 2006.

Survivors include two sons, Gene of Gardner and Mike of Reed Springs, Mo.; a sister, Rita Schultze of Osborne; five grandchildren, Joshua Wineland of Salina, Andrew Wineland of Gardner, Josie Wineland of Reed Springs, Stephanie Wineland of Hays and Randy Wineland of Stillwater, Okla.; and a great-grandchild, Sawyer Wineland of Salina.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
