Harold F. Agin, 92, Salina, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. Mr. Agin was born on March 19, 1915, to George and Elzora Agin in Lincoln County. He was retired from the Railway Express Agency and L & M Automotive. He married Agnes E. Curry in 1938, in Salina. She preceded him in death. He married Arlene M. Sias on Oct. 3, 1992. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He also served on occupation duty in China andas well asduring the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League. He was also a member of the American Legion, the VFW,and St. Mary Queen of the Universe Church. He was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, James E. and wife Sally of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter, Janette Gilchrist and husband Frank of Salina; a stepson, Pete Sias of Salina; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Kelly of Salina; a sister, Marie M. Eikleberry of Salina; four grandchildren, Robert Agin and wife Kim of Kansas City, Lance Gilchrist and wife Alison of Chicago, Scott Agin of Lincoln, Neb., and Carrie Gilchrist-Hagen and husband Joe of Kansas City, Mo.; three stepgrandchildren, Michael Sias and wife Amy of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Don Sias and wife Bianca of Plano, Texas, and Kristine Kelly of Mission; and two great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Church, 230 E. Cloud, Salina. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil will be at 6 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Memorials may be made to Sunflower Adult Daycare Center, 401 W. Iron, Salina 67401; Kaye Pogue Hospice Center, 730 Holly Lane, Salina 67401; or Sacred Heart Juniorr./Seniorr.High School, 234 E. Cloud, Salina 67401. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. |
