William I. Andrews, 91, Salina, died Friday, March 16, 2007. Mr. Andrews was born March 22, 1915, in Saline County. He farmed in Saline County and also worked as golf course superintendent for the Elk's Country Club, Salina, retiring in 1977. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ross J; three sisters, Fern Buck, Mytle Werner and Ivagene Humbarger; and a granddaughter, Tina Leon. Survivors include his wife, Cora F., of Salina; two sons, William J. and wife Shirley and Larry E. and wife Peg, all of Salina; a daughter, Evelyn Prince and partner Cathy Persons of Gainesville, Fla.; two brothers, Robert of Tescott and Tom of Salina; four grandchildren, Scott A. Andrews and wife Dona of Winfield, Kristina J. Courbot and husband Todd and Marideth F. Kinnaird, all of Salina, and Curtis J. Prince and wife Lynn of Gainesville, Fla.; and seven great-grandchildren, Hannah and Blake Andrews, Molly, Mason and Chase Courbot, and Wesley and Layna Kinnaird. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to the church. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. |
