Mrs. Atkinson was born Rosemary B. Bryant on Dec. 1, 1924, in Enid, Okla. She was a retired legal secretary for the law office of Robert Marietta.

She married Jack O. Atkinson on Dec. 24, 1942, in Salina.

She was a past queen of the Daughters of the Nile and past president of the GFWC Roundtable and Y Friends. She was a member of the Harmony Order of the Eastern Star and the Silver Needles Quilting Club and was a volunteer at Asbury Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Adabell Kendrick Bryant; a sister, Irene Huffman; and her husband, in 1991.

Survivors include three daughters, Jeanine Gunn of Salina, Madeline Valgenti and husband Frank of Bozeman, Mont., and Jacque Massegee and husband Tex of Duncan, Okla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Harry Tysen officiating. A private inurnment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salina Regional Health Foundation.

There will be no visitation.
