Mrs. Base was born Rozina Mae Hubele on Aug. 16, 1923, in McPherson County. She was a farmer, southeast of Gypsum.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus, in 1991; and a son, Stewart, in 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Gilbert of Gypsum; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Gypsum. Burial will be in Gypsum Valley Cemetery, south of Gypsum.

Memorials may be made to the church or Kansas Bible Camp.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.
