Ms. Best was born Edith Jean Poague on Oct. 9, 1962, in Salina. She was an in-home caregiver for Unlimited Options, Salina, for six years.

Survivors include three daughters, Penny Jean Best of Lakewood Colo., and Jaclyn Jane Best and Meredith Esther Best, both of the home; her father, Raymond, of Salina; her mother, Esther Cyphers, and husband Dannie, of Salina; two brothers, Danial Poague and wife Beatrice, of Salina and Michael Cyphers and wife Michelle of Las Vegas; four sisters, Linda Crook and Tamara Trepoy and husband Jimmy, all of Salina, Rhea Sewell of Wichita, and Michelle Jacobs and husband Rick of Des Moines, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
