Mr. Boden was born June 22, 1946, in Valley Stream, N.Y. He was a warehouse manager at School Specialty, Salina. He graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1969. He married Nancy Murray on June 12, 1971, in Salina. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was on the board of elders. He also was on the board of trustees at Kansas Wesleyan University. He loved crafts, woodworking, working in his yard and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Frederick Boden; and a brother, Frederick Boden Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of the home; two daughters, Arrie Boden of Salina; and Addie Perkins and husband Scott of Newton; a sister, Carol Baker of Seaford, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Caleb Perkins and Cooper Robert Perkins.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, the Rev. Robert Schaedel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church, Kaye Pogue Hospice of Salina or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.
