Mrs. Buttermore was born Virginia Lee Lamar on Sept. 2, 1942, in Coffeyville, the daughter of William and Pearl Lamer. She was employed at Tony's Pizza Service as a line worker and in the breakroom, retiring in 1993.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Billy Lamer.

Survivors include her husband, Harold B. "Pat" Buttermore, of the home; a son, Bruce of Salina; a daughter, Kimberly Saunders of Salina; a brother, Bobbie of Salina; two sisters, Shirley Sell of Strasburg, Colo., and Mary Berrier of Augusta; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
