Mr. Chernock was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Ansonia, Conn. He was a maintenance inspector for Con-Edison Power Electric for 32 years, retiring in 1976.

A private memorial service will be at a later date. Inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
