Bruce was born February 13, 1953 in Emporia, KS. He was a longtime employee with Safe Lite Glass as a Sales Representative. He graduated from Salina Central High School in 1971 and attended Kansas State University. He played baseball with Evans Grain American Legion Baseball Program. In 1999, he was selected as Colorado’s Big Brother of the year by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Denning, 1999.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Dennis and Janet Denning, Salina; a brother, Gary and spouse, Jan, Denning, Salina; a sister, Cindy and spouse, Brian, Curry, Leawood, Ks. two nephews, David Denning and Patrick Curry, and two nieces, Cathy Denning and Emma Curry.

Memorial services will be held in Centennial, CO on Thursday, July 5, at 9:30 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Co. A memorial mass will be held Friday July 6, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, Salina, KS with Fr. Frank Coady officiating.
