Mr. Dolton was born June 21, 1944, in Ocala, Fla. He was a sheet metal worker for 25 years and a building mechanic for the Salina School District for 15 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Dolton; and a son, Chad Dolton, in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Dolton, of Salina; a son, Kevin Dolton and wife Angie of Salina; a daughter, Michele Hay and husband Doug of Shawnee; a brother, Larry Dolton and wife Nicki of Chapman; a sister, Pam Patterson and husband Michael of Topeka; and five grandchildren, Jason, Erin, Kylie, Morgan and Brock.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Salina, the Revs. Kevin Hazelton and Robert Turner officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Enterprise.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
