OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Mabel Bertha Sophia Marie Dunham, 97, Oklahoma City, died Monday, November 26, 2007. Mrs. Dunham was born Mabel Bertha Sophia Marie Hachmeister on June 8, 1910, to Henry and Mary Koelling Hachmeister, in Natoma, Kan. She was a seamstress and worked in and managed several Salina restaurants. She had been an operator for Bell Telephone.She married Harold Leroy Dunham on Jan. 1, 1931, in Natoma. He died in 1990.She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, church choir and LWML. She was a founding member of Young Matrons a member of ABWA and Oratorio Society. She was an avid bridge and card player, including the Four M’s Canasta Group. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, a son-in-law, Bill Just, and two grandchildren, Pamela Younkin and Kevin Divilbiss. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lu Divilbiss and husband Jack and Nelva Lee Just; three grandchildren, Randy Just, Brian Divilbiss and Gavin Divilbiss; four great-grandchildren, Carly and Jeremy Younkin and Megan and Dylan Divilbiss; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyle and Wesley Younkin. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, Kan., with Pastors Charles Adams and Robert Schaedel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Salina, Kan. Memorials may be made to Ostomy Association of Oklahoma City or the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir, Salina. Visitation will be today from noon to 8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. |
