Mrs. Dye was born Iris J. Bollinger on May 10, 1929, in Neosho Rapids. She was a graduate of Topeka High School and attended Emporia State University. She was an admissions clerk and switchboard operator for Asbury Hospital for 26 years. She was a member of University United Methodist Church and Lady Elks Lodge 718. She married Max Dye on May 30, 1948, in Topeka.

She was preceded in death by a son, David, in 1997.

Survivors include her husband, Max, of Salina; two sons, Jeff of Salina and Fred of Peoria, Ariz.; a daughter, Barbara Dye of Lawrence; a sister, Barbara Willoughby of Waco, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at University United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
