Mrs. Frisque was born Rita Ruth Ritter to John Forrest and Alfra Ritter in Salina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T.; a daughter, Martha Jo Frisque; her parents; two sisters, Kathryn and Martha; a brother, James; and three brothers-in-law, Stanley Sheridan, Jack Britegam and Tom Thomas.

Survivors include two sons, John T. and wife Renetta K. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Chad D. and wife Holly S. of San Diego; a daughter, Kathryn A. Tretheway and husband Kent of Derby; four brothers, John, Charles, Joseph and Richard; two sisters, Adele Britegam and Marie Underwood; 11 grandchildren, Heather C.N. and Wendell Hutchison III, of Omaha, Neb., Christopher J.M and Mary K. Thetheway of Derby, Angela J.N. and Mitchell W. Rice of Hutchinson, Jendi N. Frisque, John T. Frisque III, Jessie M. Frisque, Maxwell J.R. Frisque, and Elodie A.C. Frisque; and six great-grandchildren, Wendell W. Hutchison IV, Nathaniel P. Hutchison, Gage J.M. Tretheway, Alec B. Tretheway, Kylee R. Tretheway and Mitchell W. Rice III.

A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mulvane, with arrangements by Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, 67037.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina. These arrangements will be provided by Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s National Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105, or Priest’s Retirement Fund, Sacred Heart Cathedral, 118 N. Ninth, Salina.
