Mrs. Guzman was born Gladys C. Cuellar on Aug. 7, 1929, in Kaufman, Texas, to Amos Cuellar and the former Isabel Flores. She was a homemaker and had been secretary of Saline County Medical Society. She was a volunteer interpreter for Salina District Court system and local law enforcement.She married Dr. Manuel on June 2, 1956, in Tulsa, Okla.

She is preceded in death by an infant daughter; a sister, Lala Marino; and her parents.

Survivors include her husband of Salina; two sons, Tony and wife Paulette of Salina and Andy and wife Laura of Olathe; two daughters, Luci Larson and husband David and Gloria Guzman, all of Salina; and 10 grandchildren, Amanda and Angie Larson and Danielle, Carlos, Alex, Joey, Marta, Hannah, Matthew and Angelina Guzman.

A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Salina, the Rev. Frank Coady officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Saline County Dialysis Patients Association or St. Elizabeth’s Church parish.
