Mr. Hartley was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Turon. He was the manager of Ready Mix Concrete, Garden City, for many years.

He served in the U.S. Navy as signalman first class during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mignon Hartley; his second wife, Rita Hartley; and a son, Kenneth.

Survivors include a son, Jim Hartley of Noblesville, Ind.; two daughters, Glynis Jennings and Vickie Scroggin, both of Salina; a brother, Dale of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
