WHEATRIDGE, Colo. -- Dorothea "Dottie" Mae Houser, 84, Wheatridge, formerly of Salina, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007. Mrs. Houser was born Dorothea Mae Pedersen on March 19, 1923, to Alfred A. and Margaret Jane (Snelgrove) Pedersen, in Salina. She worked at the Salina Journal and was a secretary at Beech Aircraft. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, in 1999; and a son, James Akers. Survivors include a son, Richard and wife Cynthia Lundgren of Golden; a stepson, Fred L. Houser of Topeka, Kan.; a stepdaughter, Patricia Musselman of Lakewood; two grandsons, Jeff Lundgren and Jesse Lundgren, both of Wichita, Kan.; two step-grandchildren, Heidi Hobbs of Sterling, Colo. and Stephanie Hobbs of Arvada, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren, Colton, Tierra, Teagen and Trinity. A memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Burial will follow the memorial service. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. |
