Mr. Ireton was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Dickinson County. He was a farmer and stockman and retired from Kansas Power and Light after 40 years.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Ireton, in 1993.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of Salina; a son, Jerry of Salina; his significant other, Valerie Gamage; their son, Joshua Gamage; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Navarre.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
