Mr. Johnson was born February 27, 1927, in Oakland, Neb. He worked for the city of Salina for 25 years. He married Frances Jeanette Hughes on February 19, 1960, in Vermillion, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert L. and Alice A. (Nicholson) Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; a son, Mike of Sioux City, Iowa; a daughter, Renee A. Conklin of Golden, Colo.; a sister, Lois Jean Buchholz of Ellsworth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center or Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
