Mr. Kaumans was born February 3, 1917, in Montross, Mo. He was a purchasing agent for the federal government.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella P., in 1999.

Survivors include a son, John of Sylvan Grove; a daughter, Sarah of Salina; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Inurnment will be at a later date in Paola. A rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

There will be no visitation, the body was cremated.
