Mr. Keeler was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Mentor. He worked for Kansas Soil Conservation, The Michelson Construction Company and The Frank Construction Company. He was also a maintenance engineer for Schilling Air Force Base Housing and Fort Riley Housing. He was a farmer and raised registered Angus cattle.He was a member of the Kansas Angus Association, Dickinson County Farm Bureau and Dickinson County Cattlemans Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mary; and two brothers, Eugene and Milford.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley A., of Salina; three sons, Bill and wife Sharon of McPherson and Brian and wife Sally and Brad and wife LaNell, all of Gypsum; two brothers, Don of Salina and Herb of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Betty Kopp of California, Nevadeane Olson of Salina and Lola May Luther of Claremore, Okla.; four grandchildren, Cheri of New York, Becky of Chicago, Marci of DeSoto and Bret of Manhattan; and a great-grandchild, Ashlyn Jennings of DeSoto.

A private inurnment will be at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or Gypsum Methodist Church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
