Marion Francis Keeler, 83, Salina, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007. Mr. Keeler was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Mentor. He worked for Kansas Soil Conservation, The Michelson Construction Company and The Frank Construction Company. He was also a maintenance engineer for Schilling Air Force Base Housing and Fort Riley Housing. He was a farmer and raised registered Angus cattle.He was a member of the Kansas Angus Association, Dickinson County Farm Bureau and Dickinson County Cattlemans Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mary; and two brothers, Eugene and Milford. Survivors include his wife, Shirley A., of Salina; three sons, Bill and wife Sharon of McPherson and Brian and wife Sally and Brad and wife LaNell, all of Gypsum; two brothers, Don of Salina and Herb of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Betty Kopp of California, Nevadeane Olson of Salina and Lola May Luther of Claremore, Okla.; four grandchildren, Cheri of New York, Becky of Chicago, Marci of DeSoto and Bret of Manhattan; and a great-grandchild, Ashlyn Jennings of DeSoto. A private inurnment will be at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina or Gypsum Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. |
