Mrs. Kohman was born Wilma Marie Sippel on April 4, 1925, in Gypsum, to Eugene and Martha (Reiff) Sippel. She graduated from Gypsum High School and Bethany College in Lindsborg with a degree in teaching. She taught a short time before her marriage to Merle Kohman on May 2, 1944. She was a homemaker and managed two fabric shops in Salina for several years. She also sewed band uniforms for area schools. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she served as the church organist for many years, and was a 4-H leader in Saline County for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle, in 1998; and four brothers, Arthur, Al, Verlin and Leonard.

Survivors include three sons, Larry of Salina, Roger of Friends and George of Syracuse; two daughters, Karen Ferguson of Goessell and Pam Schneider of Salina; a brother, Walt of Roxbury; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Gypsum, the Rev. John Wolesky officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, south of Gypsum.

A vigil and a rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the church or Saline County 4-H Development Fund.
