Mrs. Leonard was born Catherine L. Rouse on Sept. 30, 1935, in Maryville, Mo. She was a homemaker. She graduated from Platt Business College, St. Joseph, Mo. She married Forrest R. Leonard on May 24, 1957, in St. Joseph. She was a member of Salina Heights Christian Church and Boy Scouts of America and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer.

Survivors include her husband, Forrest R. “Bub,” of the home; a son, Thomas W. and wife Shanna of Salina; a daughter, Carrie R. Bennett and husband Wesley of Marquette; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, with the Rev. Darrel Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Salina Heights Christian Church or Saline County Dialysis Patients Association.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
