Mr. Lowman was born July 6, 1946, in Salina to Loyd Glenn Lowman and the former Ruth Lousie Miller. He was a project engineer at Exide Technologies for more than 31 years.

He married Kathleen "Kathy" Sisler on Aug. 3, 1969.

He was a volunteer for the Gypsum Valley Rural Fire District No. 2 for 35 years, a former member of the Gypsum Valley Fireman's Relief Association and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Salina.

He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Lucy Cole; and a brother-in-law, Ron Cole.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen "Kathy," of Salina; his mother, Ruth Lowman, of Salina; a sister, Lila Neber and husband Frank of Gypsum; his mother-in-law, Ruth Sisler, of Salina; his father-in-law, Jerry Sisler, of Salina; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Sisler of Liberty, Mo., and Diane Conover and husband Dave of West Jordan, Utah; and a brother-in-law, Bryan Sisler and wife Therese of Holmesville, Neb., and his "sweeties" at Hospice of Salina.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Reedemer Lutheran Church, Salina, the Rev. Kevin Kline officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of Salina.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
