Miss Marietta was born Nov. 8, 1989, in Salina. She was a junior at Salina Central High School.

She was a member of University United Methodist Church and Girl Scouts and an actress at Salina Community Theatre, all of Salina.

She enjoyed animals, gardening and volunteer work.

She was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Betty L. Marietta, in 1994, and Viola Streckfus, in 2006.

Survivors include her father, John C. Marietta, of Salina; her mother, Susie Marietta, Hiawatha; two brothers, Michael R. and Thomas J., of the home; two grandfathers, Robert Marietta of Salina and Edward Streckfus of Lakin; six aunts, Marilyn Marietta, Trisha Marietta and Betsy Marietta, all of Salina, Becky Wright of Mulvane, Mary Petrie of Garden City and Rosemarie Heistand of Columbus; and three uncles, Jim Marietta of Oskaloosa, Ed Streckfus III of Lakin and John Streckfus of Pierceville.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at University United Methodist Church, Salina, with fellowship following at the church. A graveside service and burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, with the Rev. Mike Rose officiating.

Memorials may be sent to the church, Hospice of Salina, Salina Community Theatre for Young People and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Ryan’s Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
