Mrs. McElroy was born Marjorie M. Eberhart on March 7, 1934, in Jewell. She was a bookkeeper for the Overhead Door Company in California for more than 20 years, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis, of Salina; a daughter, Sheila Perry of Wichita; two sisters, Gelene Neff of McPherson and Joyce Kimbrough of Springfield, Mo.; her mother, Paulina Bean, of McPherson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Inurnment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
