Mr. McLane was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Salina. He was a claims manager with Consolidated Freightways in San Jose, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty A., in 1999.

Survivors include a son, Michael of Clackamas, Ore.; a daughter, Eugenie Kay Borrelli of Assaria; a brother, Gene of Orleans, Calif.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas or the Tammy Walker Cancer Center, Salina.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
