Mr. Moore was born May 1, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Charles and Agnus (Ingles) Moore. He retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of faithful service.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Mesa; two sons, Robert Moore of Salina and George Moore, Jr. of Eagle River, Alaska; three daughters, Beverly Price of Leonardville, Sharon Byarlay of Solomon, and Marian Moore of Manhattan; two sisters, Betty Collins of Wellston, Ohio and Virginia Harris of Ashtabula, Ohio; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007 in the Ft. Riley Cemetery, Ft. Riley.

Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. in care of Ryan Mortuary.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
