Charles Paul Morrison
December 19, 1930 - April 19, 2007

Charles Paul Morrison, 76, Salina, died Thursday, April 19, 2007.

Mr. Morrison was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Paul and Alice Morrison. He worked for 31 years in the U.S. government's office of communications.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was a Korean War veteran.

He coached Little League Baseball and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Special Olympics. He also enjoyed playing golf and traveling.

He was a member of Christ Cathedral and a past commander of VFW Post 1432.

He married Patricia Mary Lewis on May 6, 1995.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; a brother, Milford and wife Doris of Salina; a sister, Cleo Frye of Salina; two sons, David of Fort Worth, Texas, and Paul of St. Louis; two daughters, Susan Kenaston and husband Tom of Jacksonville, Fla., and Debbie Mehalko of Fort Worth; two stepsons, David Nichols and wife Vicky of Salina and Bruce Nichols of Arcata, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Carol Kennedy and husband Danny of Auburn, Theresa Rathbun and husband Arthur of Manhattan and Deborah Jenkins and husband Randy of Salina; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Cathedral, 138 S. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Very Rev. Jerry S. Jones officiating. Inurnment will be in Christ Cathedral Columbarium.

Memorials may be made to Christ Cathedral Children's Playground.

There will be no visitation.
