Mrs. Nyberg was born Catherine Veola Hannebaum on Oct. 30, 1915, in Tescott to Henry M. and Helen M. (Christensen). She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L., in 1999; a son, Jim; two brothers, Glenn and Leland; a sister, Corrine Harris; and a son-in-law, Jim Rosebrook.

Survivors include a son, Jerry of Salina; a daughter, Judy Rosebrook of Salina; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to the church or Kaye Pogue Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
