Mr. Oetting was born March 4, 1942, in Lincoln. He was a farmer for more than 35 years.He was a member of American Legion Post 255, Tescott.

Survivors include two brothers, Randy and David, both of Salina; and two sisters, Billie Jean Alger of McPherson and Mary Behnke of Greenwood, Mo.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott.

Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the church or Saline County Humane Society.

There will be no visitation. Mr. Oetting’s body was cremated.
