Mr. Owens was born on Dec. 11, 1964, in Abilene. He worked for Landis Oil & Vending, Beech Aircraft and was self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Mable; a sister, Catherine May Alexander; and two brothers, James Carlisle and Gerald Eugene.

Survivors include a son, Brian; a daughter, Kari Owens; a granddaughter, Jenna Owens; four brothers, Donald, Carl and Gene, all of Salina, and William of Burton; three sisters, Peggy McConkey and Ruth Monasmith, both of Salina, and Betty Ann Lauxman of Haven; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dog, Pepper.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, 1425 S. Ohio, Salina. Inurnment will be in Solomon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or Salina Animal Shelter.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
