Mr. Perry was born June 19, 1930, in Carrolton, Mo. He worked for Western Auto and Wal-Mart.

He retired as a staff sergeant from the U.S. Army after 20 years, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He married Patricia Ann Schmidt on Feb. 11, 2007. He was a life member of VFW Post 1432 and the Retired Enlisted Association.

He was preceded in death by a sister; and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a brother, Charles of Olathe; a nephew, Dale and wife Kay of Lawton, Okla.; and three nieces, Juanite Ruiz and husband Mike and Joyce Linton, all of Lawton, Okla., and Carol Bailey and husband Paul of Oklahoma City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral with the Rev. Allen Scheer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
