Miss Peterson was born Oct. 20, 1919, in Salina. She was a secretary for the U.S. Civil Service at Schilling Air Force Base and Smoky Hill Air Force Base in Salina and later worked for the Kansas Health Department in Topeka. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina, and Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Leah Peterson.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Dowling of Canon City, Colo.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, the Rev. Ed Foster officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Salina.

There will be no visitation.
