Mrs. Pelps was born Edna Irene Davis on June 29, 1916, in Yakima, Washington. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Donald L. of Salina; a daughter, Cheryl L. Merryl of Medford, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

No funeral services are planned.

The body was cremated. There will be no visitation.

Inurnment will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery Garden of Hope in Fair Oaks, California.
