Albert Roy Phinney
June 22, 1924 - March 8, 2007

Albert Roy Phinney, 82, Salina, died Thursday, March 8, 2007.

Mr. Phinney was born June 22, 1924, in Junction City. He was owner and operator of Central Music Company for 58 years. He was a member of Salina Blue Lodge 60, Isis Shrine Temple, Salina, and the Salina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1432.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton Roy and the former Bertha Rothenberger Phinney; and his wife, Lavina Anthauer Phinney, in 1980.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Venuso of DeCatur, Ga., and Barbara Jackson of Wichita; two sons, Bradley Phinney and Randy Phinney, both of Salina; four grandchildren, Bret and Tracy Venuso, Troy Phinney and Jason Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Brynn and Holly Blair, Rhiannon Mertz and Peyton Venuso; and special friends, Judy Phinney, Naomi Dailey, Steve and Delicia Haly, Stella Cooper and Evelyn Somers.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. Paul Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

There will be no visitation. Friends may call on the day of the service at the mortuary.
