Mrs. Pickering was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Salina, the daughter of Verner and Sarah (Renard) Levin. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Bradford in 1963, and Alan Jay in 2005.

Survivors include her husband, James, of Salina; a son, Brian and wife Cheryl of Salina; a daughter, Brenda Copp and husband David of Salina; a brother, Richard "Dick" Levin of Salina; a sister, Doris Gay of Salina; three grandchildren, Curtis Pickering and wife Andrea and April Debold and husband Jason, all of Salina, and Ben Pickering of Wichita; and four great-grandchildren, Bailey and Payten Debold and Easton and Talan Pickering, all of Salina.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the great-grandchildren's educational fund in care of Jim Pickering, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the mortuary.
