Mrs. Ritten was born Carole Jean Post on Nov. 14, 1941, in Wamego. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick," of the home; a son, David and wife Jodi of Salina; a daughter, Renee Ritten of Salina; her mother, Florence Matthews of Junction City; a brother, Wayne Post and wife Sharon of Madison, Ohio; a sister, Barbara Stephens of Salina; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina. Burial will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil and rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Memorials may be made to the cathedral or Hospice of Salina.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
