Robert F. “Bob” Roesner
April 11, 1924 - January 2, 2007

Robert F. “Bob” Roesner, 82, Salina, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007.

Mr. Roesner was born April 11, 1924, in Beloit. He farmed all of his life and was a dairyman for 25 years. He and his brother, John, owned and operated Roesner Brothers Excavating Co. for eight years. He married Mary M. O’Shea on June 16, 1948, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. He was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Martin, in 1974.

Survivors include his wife, Mary M., of Salina; three sons, Jim and wife Jennifer and David A. and wife Karen, all of Salina, and Leo T. of Solomon; five daughters, Mary Katherine Isaacson and husband Vaughn, Theresa A. White and husband Bernie and Clara Martin and husband Michael, all of Salina, Joni Carver of Solomon and Louise Dunn and husband Brian of Philadelphia; two brothers, Francis and wife Charlene and John and wife Norma, all of Salina; two sisters, Mary Ann Gentry of Salina and Marjorie Bellinghausen of Ponca City, Okla.; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Salina, the Rev. Frank Coady officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice of Kansas.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the church and one hour prior to the funeral Saturday at the church.
