Mr. Roe was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Salina, the son of Theodore Orven and Lena Mae (Sheridan) Roe. He was a farmer and stockman and one of the first “no-till” farmers in Saline County. He was a member of the board of directors of Agri-Producers, Farm Services Agency County Committee, Saline County Farm Bureau Association, Saline County Rural Water District No. 2 and Southeast of Saline Agricultural Education Advisory Committee. He married the former Joyce Ann Quigg on Feb. 21, 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, of Gypsum; and two daughters, Jennifer Roe of Salina and Kristi Roe of Gypsum.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Pauls’ Lutheran Cemetery, near Gypsum.

Memorials may be made to the Southeast of Saline School District Education Foundation.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
