Mrs. Ruetz was born Arloa Bernadine Averill on Nov. 29, 1920, in Boulder, Colo. She was a registered nurse at Ellsworth Memorial Hospital for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Arthur, in 2007.

Survivors include a son, David A., of Ellsworth; a daughter, Linda K. Novak of San Antonio; and a sister, Zelida Ann Averill of Ellsworth.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, Ellsworth.

Memorials may be made to the church.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated.
